Note from the artist
Inspired by Andy Warhol’s disaster series, I paint and reproduce prints of smoke and explosions.
The medium of ink and watercolor creates a subtle contrast between uncontrolled substance flow of the fluidity on the surface material, and the sharp contrasting lines of the ink.
Inspired by wabi-sabi practice,
It is a space where the material itself tells the story: sometimes precise, sometimes smeared, sometimes disappeared.
Thus is built the dialogue between the line and the stain drawing, destruction and delicacy, between despair and humanity.
